About the Department:

The Chemistry Department, one of the 4 foundation pillars of the College of Science was established in 1990 and is located at the main western campus of Sudan University of Science and Technology (SUST). Within the College of Science mandate and general objectives it strives to attain state of exellence in teaching and research of chemical sciences and technology. It offers programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels; B.Sc (Honors), Postgraduate Diploma, MSc and PhD in chemistry. The programs are so designed that they provide high standards of theoratical and practical chemical knowledge which adequately prepare the graduates to work in different fields of chemical sciences and technology. Programs offered: B.Sc.(Honors) in Chemistry, Postgraduate Diploma in Chemistry, M.Sc.( course program), M.Sc. and PhD in Chemistry by research. The department has adequate facitlities for teaching and research including a modern instrumental laborartory. It also has a high caliber teaching staff, covering the main branches of chemistry, supported by highly trained techincians and supporting staff.
